Among them,\u00a0<strong>mental health stands out as one of the most critical crises, while also remaining one of the most overlooked issues on the public agenda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"877\">In this regard, our recent analysis of 36 government platforms reveals a concerning reality: although mental health is beginning to gain visibility in political discourse, it remains far from being a true priority.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"693\" data-end=\"877\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3589 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parrallax01-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"431\" height=\"287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parrallax01-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parrallax01-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parrallax01-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parrallax01-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parrallax01.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 431px) 100vw, 431px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY FINDINGS FROM OUR ANALYSIS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"1518\">\n<li data-section-id=\"18sdl0u\" data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"1052\">Solo\u00a0<strong data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"997\">20 de 36 partidos (56%)<\/strong>\u00a0mencionan la salud mental en sus planes de gobierno.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"pxudug\" data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1125\">Apenas\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1062\" data-end=\"1083\">12 partidos (33%)<\/strong>\u00a0incluyen metas o indicadores concretos.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"f96h2u\" data-start=\"1126\" data-end=\"1218\">Solo\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"1154\">14 partidos (39%)<\/strong>\u00a0plantean medidas para reformar los servicios de salud mental.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"r12idx\" data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1281\">\u00danicamente\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1232\" data-end=\"1252\">4 partidos (11%)<\/strong>\u00a0abordan el financiamiento para la salud mental.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"mp3r7o\" data-start=\"1282\" data-end=\"1351\">Solo\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1310\">12 partidos (33%)<\/strong>\u00a0consideran los determinantes sociales de la salud mental en sus propuestas.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"13oxj2u\" data-start=\"1352\" data-end=\"1441\">Apenas\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1361\" data-end=\"1381\">9 partidos (25%)<\/strong>\u00a0incluyen propuestas para salud mental infantil y juvenil.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1wfr826\" data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1518\">Y solo\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1451\" data-end=\"1471\">5 partidos (14%)<\/strong>\u00a0incorporan mecanismos de participaci\u00f3n social.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1676\">Estos datos muestran una tendencia clara:\u00a0<strong>la salud mental se asoma en el discurso, pero rara vez se traduce en compromisos concretos, medibles o sostenibles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1520\" data-end=\"1676\"><strong>WHAT ARE THE PRIORITIES?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1748\" data-end=\"1977\">Entre los partidos que s\u00ed incluyen propuestas, la\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1798\" data-end=\"1826\">reforma de los servicios<\/strong>\u00a0es el eje m\u00e1s frecuente. Sin embargo, incluso aqu\u00ed hay limitaciones: pocas propuestas incluyen metas verificables, lo que dificulta exigir resultados.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1979\" data-end=\"2047\">Even more concerning is what remains absent or is only weakly represented:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2049\" data-end=\"2623\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1matfm\" data-start=\"2049\" data-end=\"2175\" class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>Sustainable financing<\/strong><\/span>: only 4 political parties address this issue, despite it being a key enabling condition for any reform.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"16806eu\" data-start=\"2176\" data-end=\"2319\" class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>Child and youth mental health<\/strong><\/span>: it appears in only 1 out of 4 government platforms, despite the disproportionate impact of the mental health crisis on young people.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1cxs4d4\" data-start=\"2320\" data-end=\"2453\" class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>Child and youth mental health<\/strong><\/span>: it is addressed in only 1 out of 4 government platforms, despite the disproportionate impact of the mental health crisis on young people.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1u7q50c\" data-start=\"2454\" data-end=\"2623\" class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>Social determinants of health<\/strong><\/span>: when addressed, they are focused almost exclusively on education, leaving aside key factors such as employment, housing, and climate change.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"18\" data-lineheight=\"27px\"><strong>BEYOND PAPER: THE UNDERLYING CHALLENGE<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p data-start=\"2675\" data-end=\"2800\">The inclusion of mental health in policy platforms does not necessarily translate into genuine political commitment. In fact, the analysis shows that:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2802\" data-end=\"2975\">\n<li data-section-id=\"nk8xjc\" data-start=\"2802\" data-end=\"2863\"><strong>Only one-third of political parties propose measurable actions.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"mn09s6\" data-start=\"2864\" data-end=\"2924\"><strong>Most proposals lack clear funding mechanisms.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1cmr6cm\" data-start=\"2925\" data-end=\"2975\"><strong>Intersectoral collaboration remains at an early stage.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This reflects a disconnect between the scale of the challenge and the proposed policy response. Without resources, clear targets, and a comprehensive approach, many of these proposals risk remaining empty promises.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Donde-esta-la-salud-mental-Un-analisis-de-los-36-planes-de-gobierno-en-el-Peru-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4663 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Frame-1000004534-214x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Frame-1000004534-214x300.png 214w, https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Frame-1000004534.png 295w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 214px) 100vw, 214px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3263\" data-end=\"3436\">Taken together, these findings show that mental health is beginning to gain a place in Peru\u2019s electoral debate, but it has yet to receive the priority attention that the current crisis demands.
