{"id":4279,"date":"2018-01-05T12:20:39","date_gmt":"2018-01-05T12:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/?p=4279"},"modified":"2026-07-09T20:54:54","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T20:54:54","slug":"inauguramos-exhibicion-de-arte-para-desestigmatizar-la-salud-mental","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dementes.programate.pe\/en\/2018\/01\/05\/inauguramos-exhibicion-de-arte-para-desestigmatizar-la-salud-mental\/","title":{"rendered":"We are launching an art exhibition to destigmatize mental health."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"translation-block\">Last January, we opened <span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>the exhibition featuring the artworks created through our project \"The Art Within Me\"<\/strong><\/span> at the <strong>El Gato Tulip\u00e1n<\/strong> art gallery in Barranco.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">This initiative began in 2016 with <span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>workshops in woodcut printmaking (xylography) and canvas painting<\/strong><\/span>, providing participants with opportunities to develop both artistic and interpersonal skills. A key component of the project is to encourage interaction and dialogue among people from different backgrounds in order to <span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>promote a society free from stigma<\/strong><\/span>, while also using art as a tool for participants to reconnect with and better understand themselves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">\u201cThe goal of this project is to create a space for artistic expression while fostering the empowerment of the participating artists\u2014a goal we have achieved thanks to the support of our teachers and partner organizations.
