On Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, during this event, we will have the opportunity to present <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">our work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health by using communication as a tool to promote change<\/span><span style=\"color: #2289a3\"> in behaviors, attitudes, and practices<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">Lucero Andaluz<\/span><\/strong>, co-founder and Director of Communications and Advocacy at De-mentes, <span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>will represent our organization at the event and will be one of the featured speakers<\/strong><\/span>. She will share the stage with representatives from other social movements dedicated to mental health across Latin America, including participants from Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, and other countries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The goal of this 1st Latin American Meeting on Mental Health and Social Movements is to <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">create a space for critical reflection and discussion on current issues affecting mental health throughout Latin America<\/span><\/strong>. Through a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach, the event aims to jointly develop guidelines and perspectives to strengthen a community-based mental health model founded on strong ethical principles, scientific rigor, and social equity across the region.
