Protected Homes provide <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">residential care and treatment for people with mental health conditions who are experiencing social or family abandonment<\/span><\/strong>, and who in many cases live on the streets.<\/p>\n<p id=\"coelc\" class=\"translation-block\">Published in the Official Gazette El Peruano through <span style=\"color: #2289a3\"><strong>Ministerial Resolution No. 701-2018\/MINSA<\/strong><\/span>, the regulation aims to promote better services for these individuals by providing, through Protected Homes, <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">medical care that contributes to improving their autonomy, reducing symptoms, and restoring their abilities<\/span> <span style=\"color: #2289a3\">in personal, family, and social areas<\/span><\/strong>, within a framework based on citizens\u2019 rights and social inclusion.<\/p>\n<p id=\"7k4s9\" class=\"translation-block\">These facilities will provide individuals with <strong><span style=\"color: #2289a3\">personalized support and 24-hour assistance<\/span><\/strong>, as well as accommodation for a maximum of eight residents, food, clothing, cultural support, and gender-sensitive care.<\/p>\n<p>The professionals responsible for these facilities must have at least two years of work experience in public or private mental health establishments.
